Cliff Hanger
Recently I have finished a chapter in my book House of Hades and it ended where Piper goes down to a crossroad where se meets Hecate, the god of crossroads and decisions. She explains how Percy and Annabeth will die unless she takes the toughest route through the northern mountains. But also they have a very slim chance of living through the new passage way. So I stopped reading and wondered what she would do. I still have not read the following chapter and I do believe that Piper will lead her and her crew through the North passage because of how important they are to there quest or mission. I feel like if I was in Piper's position I believe that I would choose to save Annabeth and Percy. I have had a similar situation which is obviously not a life or death situation. But if I play on the school basketball team I will not be able to go to baseball workouts which I would love to do. So I decided to play basketball this year but I will have the same problem or crossroad next year and throughout highschool. So I have a similar idea of what a big decision is and how hard they are.
Dynamic Characters
In this blog, I am going to be describing how Piper changed throughout the whole Lost Hero series. It is not going to be over just the House of Hades. In the first book, Piper is a very shy girl who is going out with the son of Zues and main character Jason. She starts off very shy and wouldnt talk to many people other than Jason and Leo. Throughout the book she begins to obtain or realize her powers and skills becoming more confident in her self. At the end of the Lost Hero she truly becomes confident. You will have to read the series to learn about the ending. She is a big reason that the plot is able to unreal. In the Mark of Athena she will make a very big decision which will change the plot in various ways.
Starting early
In the book "House of Hades", I was debating whether or not I should read it but by chapter 2 I knew that I was right to read it. It starts off right where it left off. The action. It starts out just by an attack on their ship. And then it switches characters to Percy and Annebeth who are falling into Tartarus and finally reach the bottom. I really like how he hooked me so quick.

Rereading
So when I started reading my newer book, "House of Hades", I realized how confused I was. I decided to skim through the books previous to the House of Hades. I was really surprised at how much I forgot. After I skimmed through the rest of the books, I read the portion of my new book that I read already and it made so much more sence. So if u are stuck in a series, look back at the previous books.

House of Hades Summary
"House of Hades" is a book from the Lost Hero Series. It is written by Rick Riordan. This book has many main characters. It switches chapter by chapter. Some of the main characters are Percy, Jason, Annabeth, and Leo. In the book, Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus. For those who do not know, Tartarus is the deepest pit in hell. It is almost impossible to get out. The last 5 members of the quest must save them. They must first find the house of hades to open the gates of the underworld. You have to read the rest of the book to learn more.
New book
I have just recently started reading the book "House of Hades". I am reading this book because I am a big fan of Rick Riordan. He wrote the Percy Jackson series and they were my favorite books. Now he made a second series that are based of the first series. The new series is called the "Lost Hero". It is a very good series an I would recommend reading the books. There are 4 books; "Lost Hero", "Son of Neptune", "Mark of Athena", and "House of Hades".

Book recomendations
A book that I would strongly recommend for any reader who is looking for a good read is "One Shot At Forever" . I would highly recommend this to someone who enjoys te book "Playing for Pizza". Both books are very good books that are related to sports. However they also have multiple parts other than that. Both of them have plot twist which want to keep you reading. I highly recommend that you read this if you like a mystery and a book that makes you want to keep you reading I also recommend this book if you like a plot twister. The book "Playing For Pizza" is about a football player named Rick Dockery who was dropped by the Browns. He ends up getting drafted by a team that will brin. Up many problems. You will have to read it to find out. The book "One Shot at Forever" is about a small high shook baseball team from Macon, Illinois. They have bever mad it to state and one year they go all the way to the semi finales of states. It is a great book and to read about the great ending.
The Parmer Panthers
Who are the Parmer Panthers? They are a football team in Italy who are no more competitive than a division one college football team. They are in desperate need of a quarter back and they pick up Rick Dockery , a former third string quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
The Parmer Panthers head coach is Sam Russo who is also and American. Other key players on the team are Slydell Turner. He ends up quitting early in the season. Trey Colby. He broke his leg mid season and was out for the year. Fabrizio is a full back who is known to walk of the field mid game for no reason. Giuseppe Lazzarino helps out Rick with problems later in the book. And many more interesting characters on the team. One more reason to read this great book.
A Dynamic Character
Rick dockery is a very dynamic character in this book. A dynamic character is a character that changes in multiple ways through out a novel. At the beginning of the book "Playing For Pizza" he is more independent. And as you move along the ought the book, you can tell he becomes more of a leader and a team player.

Hooking the Reader
John Grisham does a very good job of hooking the reader in his novel, Playing For Pizza, At the beginning of the novel, Rick Dockery enters the game as a third-string quarter back for the browns. They are winning 17-0 with 11 minutes to go. He loses the game and wakes up the next day in a hospital not remembering the game. He has a concussion and he learns that he got dropped for the 8th time in 6 years. It really grabbed my attention and made me want to read even more.

Character descriptions
The character in my book, Rick Dockery, is based of of an NFL player Mike Souza. Mike Souza did play in Italy for the Parma Panthers. The picture below is a picture of Muke Souza after his career. It look like Rick Dockery because he is based of of him.

Conversation with Rick
.If I could have a converstaion with any character of my choice from my current book, Playing with Pizza, I would have a conversation with Rick Dockery. I would have a conversation with him because I want to know about experiences he had after he blew that AFC game. I would ask him about how he felt moving to Italy, away from family and American football. If he asked me any questions I would have to guess that it would only be simple questions. For example, "do you play football?", or "What is Italy like?", "Have you been there?". One other question I would ask is how he felt getting a starting position on a team. These are all of the questions I wish I could ask him

Real life issues
Real life issues that are in both the book, "Playing with Pizza", and real life are that many quarterbacks may be dropped by teams. Most the times they will not go as far as Italy. But they might go to a different team. My grandpa was drafted by multiple NFL teams. But he ended up going to Canada later. This is just one example of real life issues that are reflected in the text.
Rights and wrongs.
In the book, Playing for Pizza, there is a good example of right and wrong. In the book, Rick Dockery is the main character. He is a third string quarter back for the Cleveland Browns. In an AFC Championship game, he has to go in. In less than 12 minutes he blew a 17 point lead, throwing 3 interceptions. He got dropped from the team and no team would take him in. He then learns that he will have to accept any offer in order for him to keep living his dream of playing football. He gets an offer from an italian team. He has to accept the offer. This shows how when you have limited opportunities, you must to take them.

Playing for Pizza
I chose the book, Playing for Pizza, because I wanted a sports themed book to read. My dad recommended this book which he had just finished. The book is about a third string quarterback who was dropped by his team because he lost the big game despite having an 18 point lead earlier in the game. No other NFL team would take him. He told his agent to find any pro football team for him to play with. He ended up having only one team draft him. The only problem was this team was from Italy. He moves to Italy and learns that he won't be a back up quarter back. He will be their starting quarterback for a team that he did not even know existed.
